Pain Lead
After speciality training in West Yorkshire, Dr Rishi Khanna obtained a substantive NHS Consultant post at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in 2011.
Clinical commitments include Pain Clinics, Interventional Pain theatre lists and MDT meetings with Neurosurgery and Community MSK colleagues.
Rishi has been Clinical Lead for Pain Management from 2017 to 2020 and collaborated with commissioners in developing clinical pathways for patients in chronic pain. He has co-authored guidance on opioid management. He was Clinical Director of Anaesthesia, Pain and Critical Care from 2020 to early 2024 and recruited a CBT therapist into the pain team.
Most recently, Rishi developed an MDT prehabilitation programme for patients offered neuromodulation.
