Deborah Ajibola

Deborah Ajibola is a passionate Sickle cell warrior and advocate, diagnosed with Sickle cell disorder (HbSS) at the age of five. Her personal journey has fuelled a deep commitment to raising awareness, educating the public, and supporting fellow warriors. Deborah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication, an MSc in Mass Communication, and MA degree in Digital Media. She is a dedicated digital educator, using her social media platforms to educate, inform and provide tips on lifestyle choices, diet, and general wellbeing for people living with Sickle cell and their families, through heartfelt experiences that support their physical and emotional well-being. Deborah also individually supports a number of parents of young children and babies who have been diagnosed with sickle cell, helping them navigate the care and providing tips on what to look out for, especially with babies and children. In addition to her advocacy work, Deborah is a Support Worker, a role she takes on when her health permits, driven by her passion for care and community impact. Through her content and lived experience, she continues to inspire strength, resilience, and hope within the sickle cell community.
